There’s a lot of green on this map! After the recent storm cycle, we gained much needed moisture throughout the state. The Boise and Payette Drainages gained the most, rising up to 100% of normal for this time of the year. Areas to keep watch are still the Wood and Lost River Drainages as well as the Owyhee Mountains. The Owyhee being one of our more popular rivers to locally fish, it’s essential that they receive enough snowpack throughout the winter to keep the reservoir at sustainable levels. This will guarantee us solid flows and cold water throughout the summer months. Being over half way through our winter season, we still have a couple more solid months of moisture to keep us at the snowpack we need to have a great summer of fishing.
