Here’s the latest talk from the shops and your South East Idaho Fly Fishing Report:
The Henry’s Fork has still been fishing well on both the lower and upper sections and recent reports over the past few days have shown that the Box Canyon has been fishing extremely well with Golden Stonefly adults continuing their journey.
As for the lower Henry’s Fork sections, below Warm River, there has been continued Caddis and PMD hatches. Big dries and ants have been working for those who are fishing topper-dropper rigs so there are a bunch of choices for any angler to get out there this week.
The Teton Valley has finally seen the Teton River come to life and it’s starting to fish wonderfully! The water level is still higher than normal, but it is slowly coming down and becoming clearer by the day. From most accounts, there has been a great PMD spinner fall in both the morning and late afternoon, along with sulpher and pink PMD adults throughout the day. Green Drakes are also making their way into the mix. Fishing on the Teton River should improve greatly over the next week or so.
The South Fork of the Snake has slowed down a bit, but PMD action in the riffles has still been the key to a great day.
